From almost birth, Kevon Re’mon’te life has revolved around the sweet sounds of music. His father was a successful singer and songwriter, and his talent was shared with Kevon! He began singing at the tender age of 3 and by the time Kevon was 14, he was singing with the band, “The Soft Tones”. Kevon loves singing doo-wap, and had an opportunity to put his unique vocals with groups like The Manhattans, The Jones, Bohannon and others.
Kevon reached one level of achievement in the 1980s by signing on with RCA records and recording background vocals for some of the great songs turned out by that legendary studio.
The ‘90s found Kevon looking in a slightly different direction as he paired up with recognized groups performing Gospel like the Stella Award Winning Choir and The New Jersey Mass choir. It was during this exciting ride in the music business that Kevon was honored to be a background vocalist for Country Music Superstar Garth Brooks at the 1994 Grammy Music Awards.
Kevon Re’mon’te’s 4 Octave vocal range has allowed him to sing with the Queen of Soul, Aretha Franklin, five different times. That included a once in a lifetime chance to sing with her as well as Elton John, Rod Stewart, Smokey Robinson, Bonnie Raitt and more music superstars!
Kevon has found a home in Branson, Missouri, the live music capitol of the world, with his niche of singing standards from Nat King Cole, Frank Sinatra, and adding his flair to the music of Ray Charles, Stevie Wonder, George Strait and more.
While in Branson, Kevon has had the opportunity to play with the Four Tops – Temptations review, Grammy nominee Michael Ohara’s Isle of Dreams, as well appearance in many other venues, including Club Vegas, Chateau on the Lakes, Branson Center Stage, even the shining Jewel of Branson, the Branson Landing Development that has revitalized the Branson Downtown.
As Kevon roars into his future he brings with it his love for children and his child based program, Mr. Good Deed, and provides k-6 entertainment with a positive underlying message.
Kevon Re’mon’te has never been one to hide his talent. In spite of a busy season last year in Branson and then traveling extensively in Florida to perform, he also recorded not one, not two, but SIX incredible albums in 2007. All have received rave reviews from the purchasers and from the internet fan mail he gets.
